This is my favorite Merino top and when it is spun up the resulting feel to the yarn shows why I love it! It has been carefully hand dyed to preserve the softness for a next to skin soft feel.  With a lower 21-micron count, it is a softer, finer blended wool top, than standard soft Merino Top.  The staple length for this product is 2.75 inches, 70mm. Weight 4 oz 

 The Merino breed was developed by Spanish Royalty from breeding the finest of Spain’s sheep with the sheep from North Africa. The result was the finest wool ever produced. The Merino is an economically influential breed of sheep prized for its wool.  The breed was originated in Spain.  Merino wool is finely crimped and soft. Merino is considered an ultra-fine wool that is suitable for blending with other fibers such as silk and cashmere.
